It’s September, it’s our birthday month and we WERE getting ready to kick things off with our trip to New York for our first NYFW! In true South Florida style, Hurricane Irma had other plans for us. 🌀 😭 I’m literally taking a break from Hurricane Prep and nonstop News to write this post. We were literally supposed to head to New York yesterday, so let’s just talk about my current favorite go-to style that I would have worn in New York.
I have been eyeing a few jumpsuits and 2 piece sets, which I could just add a jacket to when needed and go all out on accessories. Sounds easy enough right? When we took a visit to the Miami Design District I felt like these 2 two piece sets from Sailor and Saint and Naked Wardrobe were perfect. Normally, some midriff is supposed to show, but since I’m a shorty, there was none to be seen. 😜
My friend saw the latest post on our IG wearing this outfit from Sailor and Saint and said she loved my dress LOL! I love the monochrome look, and this shade of mocha was so fitting as we transition into the fall season. I also love the ruching details on the skirt, which I find to be so flattering when wearing tighter fitting outfits especially around my thick thighs.
Following the monochrome look, I went for an all black outfit from head to toe with some gold touches throughout. The top from this Naked Wardrobe set can be worn off the shoulder like I did here, or the straps can be worn over the shoulder, almost like a halter top look. I love pieces that can be worn multiple ways, multiple times. The skirt’s cut help to accentuate curves in the right places as well. These booties from Lola Shoetique with the gold detail will definitely a staple in my looks this fall. Another gold detail I added was this Luv AJ Moonstone Coil Bracelet from our Rocksbox membership. Don’t forget to use our code brnzblogxoxo with Rocksbox to get 3 pieces of jewelry to try free for a month.
Stay tuned for some fall beauty trends we are looking forward to trying out. If you went to #NYFW, comment below and let us know what outfits you rocked. If didn’t go, let us know what fall trends you’re looking forward to rocking.
Wishing the very best for everyone affected by Hurricane Irma and all the tragedies happening worldwide. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us. 💛
